Week Eleven

This week Sheila and I had two practices. The lesson on Monday covered healthy eating habits and balance. We played a little game with a piece of paper that had different healthy habits on it and they went around asking each other which healthy habits they did. If their partner has done that habit before then they would sign the box of the habit. We also played a game that tested the girls’ knowledge of the different food groups.  The lesson on Wednesday covered being grateful and having attitudes of gratitude. We played a game where each girl would have a partner and was given a topic or situation and one of them would pretend to be ungrateful and the other girl would be grateful. The girl who was pretending to be grateful would correct whatever the ungrateful girl said. During the girls’ forty minute workout, they wrote down things they were grateful for such as the elderly or animals. We are currently planning ahead for our future practices with the girls. We plan to keep moving our Girls on the Run program forward and teaching the younger girls healthy habits.
Sheila and I will not be posting for the next couple of weeks due to school breaks. See you then!

  1. This lesson seemed so cute! I love that they get a lesson and a workout all in one. Will you continue girls on the run next year?
