Today, our teacher let us redo our Genius Hour Proposal, so we could have a solid base for a solid product. We updated it with new and revised plan and guideline to be successful in starting the Girls on the Run program at our own school. Knowing more about the program and the process, we made some changes to our proposal by adding in some of our meetings, application process, important training dates, CPR and first aid training, and parent meetings for the girls. We added in our reasoning behind starting this program at our school and how we have found it essential to our girls because we have experienced things throughout elementary and middle school and we do not want the girls in our community to experience it. We also changed our weekly schedule because we are starting to figure out how this program works and what we need to do during our class time. When we made our original proposal, we were unaware of the work we had to do before we can start our lessons. Not including class time, we have put aside roughly 45 hours towards this program in the Spring.
